Terms and Conditions

KDP Cover Creator Canva App

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using KDP Cover Creator ("the App"), you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. License to Use

Shelf Indulgence grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for creating book cover templates for personal and commercial publishing purposes.

3. Description of Service

KDP Cover Creator is a Canva app that calculates book cover dimensions based on user-provided inputs (trim size, page count, paper type). The App generates canvas templates with appropriate dimensions for Amazon KDP print books.

4. Disclaimer

You are responsible for verifying all dimensions with Amazon KDP before uploading your final cover.

While we strive to use accurate formulas based on Amazon's published specifications, Amazon may change their requirements at any time. We recommend using Amazon's official Cover Calculator to verify your cover dimensions before submission.

5. No Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:

  • Merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
  • Accuracy or reliability of calculations
  • Uninterrupted or error-free operation
  • Compatibility with Amazon KDP requirements at any given time

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Shelf Indulgence shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

  • Rejected book covers or publishing delays
  • Costs of reprinting or redesigning covers
  • Lost profits or business opportunities
  • Any damages arising from your use of the App

7. Third-Party Services

The App operates within the Canva platform. Your use of Canva is subject to Canva's Terms of Use. We are not responsible for Canva's services, availability, or any issues arising from the Canva platform.

8. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the App at any time without notice. We may also update these Terms at any time by posting the revised version with a new "Last Updated" date.

9. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New Zealand.
